Soap Nuts Laundry and Hand soap Alternative

$20.00

What are Soap Nuts?

Soap Nuts are the dried shells from the soapberry nut, which comes from the Sapindus mukorossi tree. This is found in both the eastern and western hemispheres, but it is native to India and Nepal.

Although they are called nuts, these are actually dried berries. Meaning those with nut allergies are good to use this product.

How does it work?

When the nutshells absorb water, the saponin is released, which creates a soaping effect. Saponin is 100% natural and biodegradable, making it a great alternative to chemical detergents.

Soap Nuts are a great option for those who have sensitive skin, eczema or psoriasis. They are perfect for laundering baby clothes and cloth diapers, as they leave no harsh chemicals on your baby’s clothes.

They are effective on the skin and effective at washing clothes (even removing mild stains) but they also can be used multiple times for multiple washers (up to 3-4 times depending on the load)
